Pip and Henry Gift Guide - Eeny Meeny logo

As the weather get's colder and the days get shorter, we can't help but get excited for the festive season ahead!

Father Christmas and his elves are getting ready to start receiving all those beautifully written Christamas lists from children all over the world. This year in particular, he has a special surprise up his fluffy red sleeve – a guide to eco-friendly kids' toys that will make your Christmas not only magical but planet-friendly too!

Here at Pip & Henry we have teamed up with sustainable children's toy company, Eeny Meeny to give you a list of our favourite eco-friendly toys, which are guaranteed to be an absolute hit this festive season!

Senger Naturwelt (cuddly toys, organic cotton, handmade in Germany)

Senger was founded over 30 years ago by Sabine and Volker Senger and to this day, the pair still works on each product design with their own needle and thread.

These gorgeous toys are the cuddly companions that Mother Earth approves of with open arms. They're not your ordinary stuffed animals; they're the earth-loving, hug-worthy pals that bring joy without leaving a nasty carbon footprint. Each of their beautiful toys are hand-designed, which if you ask us, makes them even more unique and special!

Sustainability is at the heart of the brand. Extremely high quality materials are used, which is critical due to the close physical contact between a child and their soft toy. Every detail has been thought through to guarantee a long-lasting companionship.

DanToy (made in Denmark from eco-plastic, sugarcane)

Lets just say that DanToy and Father Christmas's elves are recycling masters! Designed and manufactured in Denmark, DanToy products are here to bring joy, long lasting education, and imaginative play experiences.

They are the first manufacturer of plastic toys to have their products certified to the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, and has retained the label since 2010! The Nordic Swan Ecolabel looks at the overall environmental impact and the entire product journey – for the benefit of people, the environment and the world’s resources.

With raw materials sourced through recycled plastics, to bio-plastic (sugarcane) and most recently used fishing gear, each category has a wonderful story to follow the products within it. Our personal favourite toys are their gorgeous little trucks!

Londji (Made in Spain from FSC paper)

How do Father Christmas and his elves stay on top of their game? By playing a competitive board game of course!

Well, if you love a board game as much as we do, it's time to dive into Londji's world of eco-friendly, thoughtfully designed toys. Crafted with a commitment to the environment, local manufacturing, and social integration. These kids' board games and puzzles combine fun with values, promoting diverse and responsible play.

Raduga Grez ('Art Toys' made in Russia in very small batches)

Father Christmas loves wooden toys, and for a good reason! These classics are not only durable but a sustainable choice too.

Raduga Grez is a family business that makes beautiful toys inspired by nature. Each of their wooden toys are designed and ethically handcrafted in their small mountain village workshop in Russia. Each toy is unique and produced in very small batches. Made from only the best eco-friendly materials and water-based paints, making sure that they are safe for children and the environment.

Pip & Henry Book Set (Playful Eco-Education)

Children's storybooks are the magical portals that invite young minds to explore and learn in the most enchanting way. They're not just books; they're adventures waiting to happen. Our Pip and Henry storybooks are like treasure chests, brimming with knowledge, creativity, and life lessons about the environment.

Written by Pip and Henry founder, Jeroo Doodhmal, we believe that the best way to educate little ones to be more mindful of the world around us is through playful storytelling.

Pip and Henry Baby Booties Gift Set.

Let’s face it, one of the biggest moments for a parent is watching their little ones taking their first steps into a world of wobbles, exploration, and endless cuteness. Working together with podiatrists, we’ve developed a range of sustainable baby booties which support correct foot growth and bone development.

The Pip & Henry Booties gift set contains a pair of booties of your choice, a copy of the popular storybook “Pip & Henrys Shoe Shop” as well as a gorgeous wooden dinosaur shaped teether.

Off-cuts of goat suede, cow nubuck and sheep fur are all used to make our Booties. We use off-cuts from our factory that have been wasted by other brands. This ensures we are contributing to reducing waste, a big part of the sustainability issues caused by the fashion industry.
